CDR-1296: SR Set: Dresden and its Treasures
Dresden and Saxony--in the heart of Europe--has a long and important history as royal residence for the Electors and Kings of Saxony. Our set illustrates some of the cultural and architectural treasures of this "jewel on the Elbe," beginning with the "Fuerstenzug" (Procession of the Princes), notable Saxon portraits, views of Dresden on the Elbe by Bellotto and other artists, works of art in the Galerie der Alten Meister and sculptures in the palace collection, examples from the Meissen Porzellan Manufaktur nearby and views of the Baroque and Rococo architecture that has been so beautifully restored after the war.
